1-2-3-4 WE WANT COLOR WAR!!!!  That was the chant heard around camp today as we began Color War 2006, Blue vs Yellow.  Special Thanks to the Carroll Manor Fire Comapny for their assist.

Week 3 and Shabbaton - July 25, 2006
 
Week 2 of 2006 will go down in history as the week everything happened.  We got a real taste for the outdoors on ropes, danced the night away with Shlock Rock, and posed for the largest Camp Shoresh picture in the history of our camp.
 

I can't believe first session is over already. This was a great week and the Shabbaton was amazing.  Visiting the nursing home was moving as our campers greeted the residents, many of the staff were moved to tears.  Adventure Park USA was a huge hit and Shabbat in Baltimore was an experience that will never be forgotten.

In my 8 summers at Shoresh, I can't remember a more awesome week 1.  Check out our July 4th costumes, and how we enjoyed activities such as archery, yoga, challenge course, and swim.  Not sure if you can tell from the pics, be WE'VE GOT RUACH, YES WE DO!

The amazing 2006 staff got together for 2 days in June to meet, talk and learn from each other.  We have a great group of counselors who are ready for a safe and exciting summer.  See pics as they listen to Rabbi Dave and get a demonstration of some new parts to the challenge course by Assistant Director, Phran Edelman.

 

We cold not have had a more perfect start to the Summer of 2006!  Great weather, great counselors, great campers, GREAT CAMP!  We enjoyed everything from swimming, to challenge course, to horseback riding, to archery and more.  Check out a selection of pictures from today.
