Rabbi David Finkelstein will be returning to Shoresh for his 29th summer, 25 as the Director. Thus, he oversees all aspects of Camp Shoresh, The Fidler Teen Torah Center, adult educational programming, and year-round events. Prior to directing Shoresh, Rabbi Dave was a dedicated Shoresh camp counselor for four years. Additionally, Rabbi Dave was a Judaic Studies teacher at Beth Tfiloh Community Day School in Baltimore for 18 years. Rabbi Dave served on the Associated Jewish Federation of Baltimore’s Hillel and Visionary Committees. He and his wife Debbie have four children, Avi, Elisheva, Chaim and Yoni. Rabbi Tzvi Tuchman re-joined the Shoresh family after an 18 year hiatus and now holds the position of Assistant Director. Prior to returning to Baltimore, Rabbi T. was the Program Director for the Columbus Kollel where he taught a wide array of classes, home groups and lunch n’ learns. Rabbi Tuchman received his Rabbinic Ordination and bachelor’s degree in Talmudic law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College. In addition, he earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in Education from The Johns Hopkins University. Rabbi Asher Stein joined Shoresh in its second year and has been an integral part of the family ever since. Rabbi Stein began as a Shoresh camp counselor and is now the Field Director. Additionally, Rabbi Stein is a teacher at Beth Tfiloh Community Day School in Baltimore. He and his wife Charna have five children, Yisroel Yaakov, Shoshana, Nechama, Michoel, and Malki. With nine years experience at Shoresh, Sharon Rose ensures that the Shoresh office is run in an effective and efficient manner. As Director of Camp Admissions, Sharon is in charge of all aspects of processing camp applications. Sharon has four children, Brachie, Shoshana, A.D., and Dina, and two grandchildren.
